Cherry Blossoms and Hugs

Supplies Used:

Altenew Dotted Blooms stamp set; Altenew Fancy Greetings stamp set; Altenew Golden Edge 5mm washi tape; Hammer Mill white 100lb color copy; Spectrum Noir Crystal Clear glitter pen; Versamark Watermark Clear Ink; Gold embossing powder; Stampin’Up! Melon Mambo card stock; Stampin’Up! Basic Black card stock; clear sequins 5mm, 8mm, 10mm; Copic markers RV10, RV11, RV13, RV14; heat gun.

Today’s project is about sparkle and shine. I love cherry blossoms. As soon as I saw the Altenew Dotted Blooms stamp set I knew I would love to create with it. I colored the blossoms with Copic Markers then applied the Spectrum Noir glitter to make them sparkle. They are spectacular in person. I then embossed the sentiment in gold embossing powder. This helps to pull in the Golden Edge Washi Tape into the image. The sequins help fill some of the white space without overwhelming the focus of the cherry blossoms.

I hope this inspires you to get out your glitter, embossing powder and glitter pens and see what kind of beautiful you come up with.

  1. Really nice card……..A.G.A.I.N………….I like what you do with sequins. I realize that it’s not “stamp based”, but still it adds so much to the card on a level that one might not expect. xoAlice………P.S………sorry I’m late with my responses. Been b.u.s.y. When did I ever find time to work?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
