Todays card uses die cut images to create an embossed image on your cards. This expands you use of dies and gives you endless possibilities for embossed backgrounds. I just love the effect with this technique. All the letters you see in the background are made using the Altenew Tall Alpha Dies. I then used a piece of colored card stock as a guide to place the letters on the card front. As you can see, this is done at an angle. Each letter is glued into place taking care to space them evenly. The letters attached to a piece of Neenah white card stock approximately 5.5″ x 4.5″. Once the letters are attached, this piece of card stock is cut down to 5.25″ x 4″ and attached to the Neenah white card base. View the video above to see this technique described in detail.

The “thanks” die is cut from Altenew Fancy Thanks Die in Stampin’Up Blackberry Bliss card stock and attached with glue to the card front. The “For All You Do” statement is embossed on Basic Black card stock measuring 3/8″ wide and is longer to start than the card front. This is cut down once the statement is embossed. Be sure the left cut along the same degree as the attached lettering to create a cohesive look. The strip of black card stock is glued to the card front under the “thanks” die image. The butterfly is created from the Altenew Painted Butterfly stamp set and dies. It is stamped with Stampin’Up! Blackberry Bliss and Highland Heather inks. The butterfly outline is stamped in Altenew Permanent Black ink. This is attached to the card front with foam tape.

I hope you enjoy this card and use you dies to create an embossed appearing card background.
