The coloring of this card was done with both Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils. I have been coloring with Copics for 3-4 years. If you are new to Copic Markers, there is a learning curve associated with their use but practice, practice, practice. They create beautiful images. I have always wanted to incorporate colored pencils into my Copic coloring. This is my first effort toward that goal. I’m excited with the outcome and can’t wait to do more. Once colored, the image is then brushed with the Spectrum Noir glitter pen and hand cut out. The leaves are made from the Altenew Statement Flower stamp set. They are colored with Altenew’s Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades Crisp Die ink and enhanced with Prismacolor PC911 and Spectrum AquaBlend Dark Slate pencils. These are hand cut as well. Both the leaves and flower are attached to the card front with foam tape.

You will see the background of the card has a unique embossed texture. This is done with Stampin’Up! Painted Texture 3-D embossing folder. I love the look resulting from this 3-D embossing folder. This background is glued to a gold foil sheet and attached to the card base with foam tape.

The Sending Love sentiment is made from Spellbinders Glimmer machine and Everyday Sentiments II. It makes a clean beautiful foiled image. This is attached to gold foil paper and attached to the card front with foam tape.

I hope you enjoy the card and practice coloring with any color medium you have. Practice makes better and better.

  2. OK……….you had me at IZ’s “Over the Rainbow”. It’s my absolute f.a.v.o.r.i.t.e. of his songs and my favorite song to begin with, and when we bought a CD of his with his rendition on it, it blew me away in tears. We have several of his CD’s.

Love the video too!!!!!!! hehehehehehehe………….it’s a wonderful “tool” to use to show the “layers” to completion. Thank you so much.
